No disrespect intended here, only my opinion. However, the Bible certainly does need to be interpreted . Then on the other hand you have as many interpretations as you do people who are giving their opinion.Take Revelations for example. If you can make heads from tails about this book, my hat's off to you.
When I was a kid, if the sermon was based on Revelations, I would find some reason to be excused Not only was it confusing, but it scared the wits out of me. To this very day, I find very little clear information as to the basis and contents of the book.
Ask 100 people and you will get 100 different answers.
2 Pet 1:20-21
But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
God pretty much well eliminated the confusion by His Holy Spirit.
Jeremiah 31:33-34
“This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the LORD. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the LORD,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,”
declares the LORD. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”
Here from the Prophet Jeremiah we read Who will "put", write and forgive. There isn't a minister on this planet that can do this. One may sow and another may reap, yet, God gives the increase as He alone knows the hearts and minds of men (mankind). Jeremiah moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God and it is God's interpretation of His Word that we should seek out. How did Paul and Peter come to certain knowledges concerning the Word made flesh, the incarnate God? Was it their opinion? Did it come from their flesh, (carnal) minds?
The Apostle Paul:
Gal 1:11-16
I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin.
I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.
For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism, how intensely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it.
I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being.
The Apostle Peter:
Mat 16:16-18
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
1 Peter 1:12
It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.
1 Peter 4:11
If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
It is apparent that Paul and Peter received "revelation" and not by any human, flesh and blood, but through the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, there are many who cannot differentiate between man made opinions and the Holy Spirit.
1 John 4:1-4
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
Question. Has Jesus Christ come in your flesh? How would you know if He has?
