When I get back from church I'm going to get that one mower out and munch (mulch) up some leaves.

Nichiren Shoshu buddhists are told that a true religion has documentary proof, theoretical proof, and actual proof. Documentary proof is what was written and who wrote it. Ideally it was written by the founder who revealed the teachings, and if not that, then preferably the documents were written by direct disciples of the founder (who heard the teachings directly from the founder).
Theoretical proof is the logic and reasoning of the teachings. Does it conflict with the body of knowledge of science? Does it make predictions and prophecies that never happen?
Finally there is actual proof. Do the people who embrace the teachings of the church change their faults into virtues? Do they benefit humanity, the ecosystem, and the Earth? Has the Church been benevolent and compassionate historically?
