Infallible spiritually, some historicity and very little science IMHO. You sound like a follower of the late Kenneth E. Hagin and the hyper-faith crowd. That's not a put-down, I have about everything he ever wrote.

That's not a put-down, I have about everything he ever wrote. We left Kenneth E. Hagin and similar belief systems many years ago. The more we studied the Bible and applied what the Spirit quickened to my wife and I, the more our ministry went on a slightly different path. I personally do not know of a "hyper-faith" within my belief system and from what I gathered off of the internet, I am not too impressed. That's not a put down either. I just know (gnosis) the scriptures and the power found within them. That power within those scriptures is what makes the Bible Spiritually infallible. The Roman Centurion recognized that power in Jesus, the Word made flesh. (Matt 8:5-10 and Luke 7:2-9) The Bible indicates that from the heart man believes and the mouth confesses. (Romans 10:10&11) The heart represents our will, intentions and desires, the mouth our understanding. The Roman Centurion's intention and speech was quite clear Matt 8:8 & 9, Luke 7:7 & 8. And the response of the Word made flesh, Jesus, was equally clear. As to hyper-faith again, we do not use that term and I personally did not take your comment as "a put-down".

I've read books by T.L.Osborn and John G. Lake as well. Are you saying you believe in Gnosticism or did I get that wrong?

I've read books by T.L.Osborn and John G. Lake as well. Are you saying you believe in Gnosticism or did I get that wrong? Gnosis: knowledge of spiritual mysteries. It is given to us to "know" the mysteries of the Kingdom. With that said. What I refer to is, for example, when one tastes and eats strawberries, whipped cream on the angel food pastry. One has "gnosis" as to the taste or knowledge of that taste. Gnosticism has many diverse belief systems throughout history, I suppose one could glean from it many similarities but, I do not go there. I am not familiar with those Pentecostal ministers that you are referring to. I have been often asked what is my church, what do I believe and such questions. I once was an Atheist, Baptist, Southern Baptist, Assemblies of God and then Pentecostal. I had an OBE which changed how I sought to perceive and understand the scriptures. I was led to a small and rather conservative Pentecostal group. There I heard and experienced a profoundly more real God within the scriptures. Even then my wife and I were taken on another path into the hidden wisdom of God. (1 Cor 2:6-16) We left that small group and teach house churches and those the Lord sends into our path. I do realize that many quote those very verses. Yet, many have not discovered how to compare spiritual to spiritual within that kingdom of God/Heaven within them. Christ is still on the outside and not the Hope of Glory within. Many are still looking for the third coming and missing the second coming.

Okay, I plead ignorance on Gnosticism. I don't even know enough about it to form an opinion. I will check into it though. I think it's wonderful what God has done in your lives. God bless you and her is my prayer.

I am not familiar with Gnosticism, I read that it denies the incarnation of God as the Son. Salvation is through special knowledge, gnosis. That is all I know about it. My dad was a preacher in the Pentecostal church, he later changed to one of the snake handling churches in Georgia. My mother detests snakes so that did not go over so good. My grandmother was a Southern Baptist, her husband was an atheist. My other grandmother was Catholic. I grew up around various different Christian Churches. And a few were pagans, they believed in gods not God. It took me a long time to sort through all of that. I try to keep it simple now. I've attended a lot of churches over the years, haven't been inclined to join any though. God has no quarrel with me, I have none with Him. We get along just fine. I enjoy Him too much to worry about anything else. Freedom through Jesus Christ our Lord. May you be blessed with joy, hope and peace.
