I am so happy, thrilled actually.
For years I've wondered why Mc Donald's didn't retail their coffee.. well now they do. It's labeled Mc Cafe and comes in a variety of blends. Micky D's coffee has always been my favorite, of local restaurant or fast food coffees. Why anyone would pay $$$$ for Starbucks when you can get a large cup of quality, great tasting coffee at M.D's, at a fraction of the cost, is beyond me. It's not the cost so much as the taste. I wouldn't give you 2 cents for a cup of Starbucks
There are other coffees that I love, one being Jamaican Blue Mountain, Kona and a Kenyan blend a friend brought me last year. I also like creole coffee with chicory.
My daughter bought me a Krups coffee maker with the little individual cups, but none are as good as Mc Donald's It takes so little to make me happy !
There is a local brewer in Key West called 'Baby's Coffee' locally roasted and sold in their coffee shop, it's good and they sell it retail online.. but I'll still take my 'go to' Mc D's... yea !

Well no, I'm not a 'heart patient', although I do get a yearly check up with a Cardio Dr to check for any possible damage related to my RA Wanna hear something funny ? In the waiting room at the Cardiologist's office where I go, they have a coffee station set up. Big urn, cups, creamer and sugar. Can you drink de caf ? Half caf ? What about tea ? Tea contains caffeine too, some blends have the same amount as coffee.

Here's a link to caffeine content in different brands of coffee, tea and soft drinks www.caffeineinformer.com/the-caffeine-databaseFor instance.. Lipton tea has 6.0 grams of caffeine per fl oz compared to 9.1 per oz in Mc Donalds coffee. I like Chai, and I was surprised that Oregon Chai has 8.1 per fl oz. De caf coffee has very little caffeine, like 0.7 per fl oz. You should be able to drink de caf.. again Mc Donald's de caf is good also. I have to have that caffeine blast to get me going in the morning. It's my drug of choice My granddaughter drinks coffee, but my daughter does not, never has. The first thing she reaches for in the morning is her can of Coke Zero..

I can't have caffeine in any form, decaf or not. I drink caffeine free soft drinks, no coffee, tea or chocolate.
My heart is strong with no blockages but the wiring to my heart is messed up.
I have Cardiac Arrhythmia and Atrial Fibrillation both. What a mess.

I have Cardiac Arrhythmia and Atrial Fibrillation both. What a mess. I have been drinking Coffee since my youth, black and no sugar. I have quit soft drinks and as much of the high fructose corn syrups in any form as I recognize on the labels. I do not care for any of the fast food coffees, BK, McD, CJr, Wendy's and yet since my secular work causes me to travel around the areas. I prefer, if I stop, the coffees at the truck stops and my Bunn coffee maker and Yuban coffees. I recently went through a complete heart and lung diagnostics and examinations, to the tune of $ 4000.00. I have less than a 2% chance of a heart attack in the next ten years. Low cholesterol, normal blood pressure, clear veins and arteries. The problem that caused me to seek medical help? 25 Lbs overweight, dropped the weight and the pain in the chest and shortness of breath went away. We are trying to eliminate all processed sugars, limited amounts of red meat and of course the junk foods, even if they say "organic" (read the labels) .

I have never been a sugar junkie, my problem is carbs, which we all know break down to simple sugar. For my age and all the years of rheumatoid arthritis, which can attack and destroy any and all organs in the body, I've fared fairly well.. all my across the board blood levels are within line I try to eat sensibly, I don't obsess over food, I just eat smaller portions and limit red meat to a couple of times a month. But,when I have a craving for that rib eye, I've gotta have it I also keep the fried stuff to a very bare minimum, but there again, sometimes fried shrimp just calls my name ! Back in my younger days I was fairly addicted to sodas. or 'Cocola' as we call all sodas in the South. ( Ask for a Coke south of the Mason Dixon line ,especially Georgia and Alabama, and the server will ask you what kind do you want.. " We have Pepsi, Dr Pepper, Orange, Root Beer, Ginger Ale..all fall under the name 'Cocola' .. i know, we're all nuts ) but over the years, I've sorta lost my desire. I'll drink one or two a week and then it's Coke Zero, but I go through a case of Dasani bottled water in a flash. I carry a bottle of water with me everywhere I go. Now, I'm a water diva. No other bottled water tastes like Dasani to me. It's crisp, clean and no mineral taste, I think it's double osmosis. I can't stand Aquafina or Zepher Hills, they taste flat and even have a hint of salt to me. Who would have thought twenty or thirty years ago we'd be PAYING FOR WATER ? Salt is another thing I hardly ever use. A box of salt will last me literally a year or longer I use salt on grits , that's about it. I'm so used to so little salt that restaurant food always seems overly salty to me. I use a variety of homegrown dried herbs to replace the salt.

I like coffee as strong as I can get. Weak coffee gives me problems with its acidity. I love food. I don't do soft drinks at all, but like Club Soda.
