I've always looked at Mardi Gras as a early beginning of Spring.

Ah, Mardi Gras.. if you've never been to Mardi Gras in New Orleans, you've missed a phenomenon ...nothing else like it, except maybe Carnival in Brazil which, I've yet to attend. And a good time was had by all. !

I've never been to one but it sounds like fun. you should treat yourself. I love NO anytime of the year, problem is my husband is not fond of the Crescent City, so he can either go or stay home, whatever makes him happy My daughter and I both love NO. mY Granddaughter has a good friend who attends college right outside NO and they get the entire week of Mardi Gras off, like spring break but it coincides with Mardi Gras week. College kids and Mari Gras.. there's a combination for you.
