Would you vote 'yes' for a medical marijuana bill in your state if it's not already available where you live?
After thinking about that for awhile, would you vote to decriminalize marijuana in your state ?

I would vote yes. It is soothing, helps with pain, especially for cancer patients. I don't know why marijuana was made illegal in the first place. It should be your choice if you want to use it. I believe some of the attitudes people have about marijuana come from their concept of drug addicts. Misconceptions.

Since we can not outlaw alcohol, which in my opinion, causes more deaths and tears apart families, then I would vote yes to both of those.

Just a thought, I don't know if you have seen the advantages of marijuana over some of the other drugs that are issued for people with cancer, but the marijuana is a huge improvement. I also know people with other disorders who have been helped immensely by using marijuana in a responsible manner. It can be a good medicine. I myself do not use it. Apparently it is also good for stress. Many of my fiends and family use it, they actually swear by it. It is a shame that they have to sometimes resort to illegal means to purchase it. They do use it responsibly, in fact much more responsibly than many of the people I know who drink.

I totally agree. I think marijuana should be decriminalized and controlled under the same restrictions as alcohol No sale to minors, unless by prescription. No driving while under the influence. Otherwise, I think this country wastes more money and stigmatizes more people than is necessary. We have child predators receiving less time, in some cases, than a person found with a minute amount of marijuana. It's time. I hope every state gets on the ball and realizes that marijuana is not the devil weed. But as dayrain points out, responsibility is at the core. No one bats an eye at people knocking back a few drinks, so I say that marijuana should be classified, and allowed to be sold legally, under the same guidelines as alcohol. Think of the money spent on marijuana arrests, housing ( in jail awaiting trial ) and prosecution. and the people who will carry a marijuana conviction with them for eternity, even for a small amount

I would go a step farther, people can make small amounts of wine and beer for personal use. They can grow their own tobacco if they choose, wouldn't advise it but you can, stuff is really hard to grow. I see no reason that people shouldn't be able to cultivate marijuana for their own personal use, it is ridiculously easy to grow. I don't see why the government should have any thing to do with that one way or another, they intrude on our lives enough as it is. Some of the herbs people grow for medical use are very dangerous, some are poisonous, whereas marijuana is not. Country folk have been growing their own for years. And making their own wine.
