You don't have to do anything but sign up. You don't have to participate.
The game is a facebook game called "Journey Of Moses." It's starts out with him being born and immediately switches to young man Moses, then soon to Moses leading the people out of Egypt. From then on it's the wandering and allied construction.
Here's my problem. I got interested years ago but wasn't interested in the social aspects of the game. I'm still not interested in the social aspects. I just want to go through the game (the wandering and construction) and I am definitely "bogged down" as you need the presence -- just the presence -- of "friends" to get much (not all) of at least one item needed in construction.
You have to "build" stuff. Like if you want a market stall you have to gather up wood, rope, etc., and that's after you establish that you want it by playing through a preliminary set up. I have no problem playing through the set ups; it's gathering the construction materials that can be very tricky. Often they want "Friendship tokens" to finish the construction. I only get three. You get one every day you log in and one from the built-in "friend" they give you. You can also get one (and a jewel) every day from every live "friend" on your page. A friend signed up soon after _I think_ just to be a help gathering materials as she NEVER plays it. She has another game that she plays all of the time. (So, I know you don't have to participate.) Time and again they not only want 35 Friendship tokens to build something, they want 20 to move to another stop on the journey.
Well, even with my friend's Friendship token and the two they give you it takes almost two weeks -- twelve days -- to build some things and that's ONLY if you log in every day, and that's if they don't want 20 more (another week of every day) to move to another place. I've got about three dozen unfinished items (and many undone very old assorted "chores") just sitting and waiting.
What really strings me out is this: about two-three years ago they incorporated some Christian aspects, like a cross, but those don't really belong in the story being unraveled. One item was a special, a Christmas crèche. I had played the stable part out conveniently "just in time" as after Christmas they deleted the maps for the entire line. In it there were three animals together that I didn't get to finish. I got the set up in that done and the first level of construction (often with something big there are two). But the unfinished animals have sat in full view ever since. That needs "gold," too, and a good part of my unfinished accumulation is due to trying different things to get the gold -- it's hard come by short of buying things online and the animals would take a lot of gold. While it's understandable they need the advertising sales revenue to maintain the site, I'm in no position to be doing assorted online buying.
Thanks for reading this far.
