I spent the whole day yesterday at the hospital with a friend. I was so wore out when I got in I went to bed at 8:30p. Anyway while sitting in the waiting room and it was a large room and it was packed. There was a tv on the wall turned down low and every one was watching it. In comes two women, both looked kinda rough around the edges. A nurse came in a few minutes later and one of the women ask her if she could change the channel, the nurse said yes but you'll have to get the remote from the nurses station, and she did. She changed the channel and told everyone I've been watching my soap opera for years and I can't miss that. I didn't care I was working a crossword puzzle. I thought that was a bit nervy.

Just be glad she didn't want to watch Jerry Springer or one of those other " Who the baby Daddy ? " shows. I would have had to remove myself to another waiting room.

Yes, that seems to be a new Ebonics phrase.

If the situation was similar and there was a footbaal game on, that 'nervy person' would have been my husband.
