I was watching tv with my Mom sunday and it seemed the commericals were noticeably longer than normal, We were watching the Discovery channel. The next time they had a commerical break we started counting. We sat through 14 commericals or ads of some kind. I felt like turning it off.

And have you noticed that most commercials are louder than the regular programming ? We have one TV with automatic 'sound adjust' It does just that, it automatically adjusts the sound of commercials to the sound level of the programming.I think car dealerships are the worst.

Yes, I have noticed that. If they get too loud I turn the volume down until the show comes back on...so their not helping things by doing that.

There was a law passed or something from the FCC that restricted the sound levels for commercials. I did a search and found This link

We kill the commercials to the point of watching movies (Netflix) or our own. Or, we just shut it off! There are few too many places to watch without the commercials.
