Phil Everly of the Everly brothers passed away today at age 74.

I didn't realize how influential The Everly Brothers were for The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Queen, Green Day, just to name a few. So far I don't think anyone has even stood toe to toe with them when it comes to harmonies!

I have heard them but it's been a long time. It reminds me of what Alan Jackson said in a song, the new are born and the old die, he's right. It's kind of like riding the eternal conveyor belt of life, sooner or later you run out of belt. Silly but true and we'll all face it, some sooner than others.
