This is an example of why Sharia is such an abhorrent tradition ( law) "Pregnant Pakistani woman stoned to death by family May 27th 2014 3:29PM ⟨⟩ Pakistan Mohammad Iqbal, right, husband of Farzana Parveen, 25, sits in an ambulance next to the body of his pregnant wife who was stoned to death by her own family, in Lahore, Pakistan, Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Nearly 20 members of the woman's family, including her father and brothers, attacked her and her husband with batons and bricks in broad daylight before a crowd of onlookers in front of the high court of Lahore, police investigator Rana Mujahid said. (AP Photo/K.M. Chaudary) Parveen's father surrendered after the attack and called his daughter's murder an "honor killing," Butt said. "I killed my daughter as she had insulted all of our family by marrying a man without our consent, and I have no regret over it," Mujahid, the police investigator, quoted the father as saying www.aol.com/article/2014/05/27/pregnant-pakistani-woman-stoned-to-death-by-family/20893557/?icid=maing-grid7%7Cmaing11%7Cdl1%7Csec1_lnk3%26pLid%3D481011

From what I understand that's fairly common over there.
I saw an egyptian woman on T.V. last week and she said in egypt a man can suspect his wife is cheating and not have any proof and yet he can kill her and everyone would feel sorry for him, and the government would usually do nothing. Which begs the question....what if the husband is cheating? Does the wfie get to kill him? I think that only works one way.
The more I learn about the miiddle east and their customs the more I dislike it. They have to be a left over from the stone age.

In some sections of the middle east , Muslim countries, Sharia runs contrary to the Government law. But in a case like this one, and so many more, the aggressor will get off with a slap on the hand, if he ( they ) are even arrested at all. It's a farce, like.. wink, wink. Sharia still reigns supreme. And for a Father to say " Yes I killed her and I don't regret it " boggles my mind. Women are so dispensable, like property, chattel.
Often times I don't think it's so much about 'honor' as it is about money not received by the bride's family in a non negotiated marriage. Money is more important than a Father's daughter.
The other females in the family, Mother and sisters, aren't allowed to mourn or show any sympathy ( at least visibly ) either, lest their lives be in jeopardy also.
