And some call this 'baloney' ?
All that suffering, children separated from their parents. children watching their parents die, entire families being dragged from their homes at gunpoint never to see their homes again.. People dying of starvation, hypothermia. Old infirmed people being made to walk barefoot across the width of the US in the dead of winter. All the graves beside the Trail of Tears.
This is America's shame and to call it 'baloney' makes it even worse, if that's at all possible.
Anyone with a heart can see it for what it is. 'The Great American tragedy' designed and implemented by people such as Andrew Jackson. The Trail Of Tears was the American version of

Perpetrating near genocide upon an entire race of people is unforgivable.

Perpetrating near genocide upon an entire race of people is unforgivable. And yet most Native Americans aka 'Indians' are super patriotic. I guess they realize what is was like for their ancestors to have had their homes invaded and taken away. This is the ultimate personification of 'Turn the Other Cheek ' indiancountrytodaymedianetwork.com/2014/02/06/numbers-look-native-enlistment-during-major-wars-153354?page=0%2C1World War II (1941-1945 – American involvement only) "Over 44,000 Native Americans served in WWII between 1941 and 1945. In 1942, 99 percent of all eligible Indian healthy males from ages 21 to 44 had registered for the draft. In the Summer of that same year, 7,500 had enlisted. By the beginning of 1945, 22,000 had enlisted. By the end of WWII, 24,521 reservation Indians and another 20,000 off-reservation Indians had served in the military effort – or 10 percent of the American Indian population. The Korean War (1950-1953) Approximately 10,000 Native Americans served in the Korean War Conflict and three of them were awarded the Medal of Honor. The Vietnam War (1956-1975) More than 42,000 Native Americans served during the Vietnam War. Ninety percent of them were volunteers."

I have noticed NDN people can adapt and seem to be a very forgiving people where as others carry a chip on their shoulder.

The word 'Savage' as associated with Native Americans back when the white man came to this continent, was a label placed on a demographic who were merely trying to defend their lives, families, homes and way of life. When anyone comes face to face with eradication, I suppose anyone could be pushed to do things that go against their nature. Their's was a fight for survival As a rule the Native American culture is a spiritual group. Giving praise for Mother Earth and all her bounties. It amazes me the number of volunteers, during our major wars, who had a desire to serve and protect a country which that was once ALL their's.
