"berry and pine"?
I'm no connoisseur when it comes to brewed beverages, so I like my beer to taste like beer.

There are many tasty beers. I like a light lager, Heineken is one of the best of those. I like dark beer from Germany, Dunkel is one of the best of those. I used to favor highly hopped beer. The English call it their "bitters". These are usually referred to as IPA. India Pale Ale. The IPA became popular with the British because kegs of beer would spoil on their way to India, when Britain governed India for about 100 years. The brewers found that by adding a generous amount of hops to the brew, it helped preserve the beer until it reached India. Then the British in India became fond of the bitter flavor and the psychological calming effect of the Hops. Now I say that life is too short to drink bitter beer.

Keystone Light ran a series of "Bitter Beer Face" commercials years ago. They were pretty funny as I recall.
