Yes they did, right after Cain killed Able they began to turn to other gods, and did until God called Abram out of them. Then again they went back to serving other gods over and over, it is not really edited out, He speaks of it all through the old Testament how they turned from Him to strange gods. I disagree that there is error in the Bible. There is error in the translations of the Bible. God had a wife? News to me. Google has a lot of misinformation available too. They put everything on there. I would advise a different source to get information from than there.

If you go back a couple verses you will read... Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth that the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Salvation comes through Jesus Christ. Not any religion.
Call upon the Lord comes from Joel, Paul took that from Joel, referring to calling upon the Lord in the Old Testament. In the New Testament, Paul is speaking of the new covenanat the Lord made with us through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

Is the Bible wrong ? Who knows for sure? The Bible , as a literary work, has been edited, passages changed due to translation, parts omitted and some added to. Most people say the Bible, the entire Bible is God's word. But we know many books were written by men and were transcribed by their interpretation of what God told them or even their own interpretation of what the word of God meant. Who knows? If some other person had written the books, they could have interpreted it entirely different.
Most modern day Christians put their faith in the NKJV.. consider the word 'new'.. 'new' as compared to 'old'.. what has been lost or changed along the way ?
The Jews have 600 plus commandments, Christians have condensed it to 10

Literary work? Who knows? It is not called the Rock of Ages for no reason. Yes, some parts of the Bible are beautiful works of literature.. The Psalms for instance. I personally find Psalms the most inspirational of all the parts of the Bible. The Psalms, or 'Songs' were written as songs to God often ending with a benediction. The Psalms, or songs are beautiful works of poetry. The Book of Psalms is not God's word, rather words or songs offered up to God in praise. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psalms"The Book of Psalms (Hebrew Tehillim, תְהִלִּים, or "praises"), commonly referred to simply as Psalms, is the first book of the "Writings", the third section of the Hebrew bible.[1] The English title is from the Greek translation, "psalmoi", meaning instrumental music and, by extension, the words accompanying the music.[2] There are 150 psalms in the Jewish and Western Christian tradition (more in the Eastern Christian churches), many of them linked to the name of King David, but his authorship is not accepted by some modern Bible scholars." "Poetic characteristics; The biblical poetry of Psalms uses parallelism as its primary poetic device. Parallelism is a kind of rhyme, in which an idea is developed by the use of repetition, synonyms, or opposites.[18] Synonymous parallelism involves two lines expressing essentially the same idea. An example of synonymous parallelism: The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)" The 'Rock of Ages' has changed and been modified over the centuries. No one can argue that.

The Rock of Ages hasn't changed any. We have. So you don't think the Bible, as a written work, has changed through all the years of translation ? I'm speaking in a literal sense, words being transcribed onto paper, or whatever medium was used . " We" weren't around all those thousands of years ago and all the years since, while the Bible was being translated. " We" collectively weren't responsible or involved in the translation.

The word Israel is actually an Egyptian name. Few People know this but The Jews were in Eygpt for over 400 years so that's understandable. ISIS is an Egyptian throne Goddess from the 5th dynasty. RA is the name of the Egyptian sun god. EL is a generic name for god which many different religions in that area used. IS-RA-EL.

The Rock of Ages hasn't changed any. We have. Then do you put the Rock of Ages first. For healing, and above medicine, doctors and hospitals? I have read that people have put their faith in the word and watched their children die when good medical help was available. I applaud you for your strong faith but it's a slippery slope. Common sense should always prevail.

Any one who would endanger the life of a child is a fool. All healing comes from God, that includes doctors, despite the fact that they think they are gods they aren't. All of the knowledge doctors have comes from God. Doctors can be good, especially if you get your arm cut off. They really do come in handy. I believe God is the great healer, who gives doctors their knowledge. What do you believe? If I need a doctor I go to one. On the other hand I know all healing comes from God. Whether from a herb or from a doctor, it all comes from God. I pray for faith daily, I am not strong, but He is. All of my faith comes from Him. As it does for all of us. I believe Him. It is not what you believe it is who you believe. If you believe God you will believe what He says. You will believe the Bible. You will trust in His word. Despite the fact that there are translation errors in the Bible, it is our guide book. Just as a car has a manual so do we. The Bible. Stick to it regardless of what anyone says and you will never go wrong. It is our rock. Just as He gets us through life here, He will lead you through the translation errors too. He always supplies our needs. All of them. All good things come from God. The world would have us believe He is a liar. No we are the liars. God does not lie. It is simple for me. I spent a long time finding the truth and I am not letting anything get in the way of it. The truth is God is good. He give us the Bible to keep us from error. To lead us to Him. And it does. With God we are never alone. Even those times when everyone else deserts us, our friends, our family, our mates, He is there for us. There is a song, "He loved me most when nobody loved me at all." It is the gospel truth.

About healing and health I believe about the same as you do. Praying for faith is a waste of time, you get faith by reading and or hearing the word of God....
Romans 10:17 S0 faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

When one reads and studies the Bible. What is the intention? What is the "use" one desires to find within?
