President Biden played a part of the role in persuading Turkey's leader (Erdogan) to allow it.

Putin's adventure in the Ukraine has backfired. For Putin to lose the neutrality of Sweden and Finland puts European and American and Canadian military forces just a little more than 400 miles from St. Petersburg. I expect that the Kremlin is re-evaluating the leadership of Putin. Expect him to be removed before the end of the Summer.

I hope you're right. This has serious potential to blow up into to something even worse. Putin is obviously not rational and irrational dictators sometimes do things that aren't in their own best interest.

Putin can only rule with the permission of the Kremlin. The communist parties are really one party. They all praise Lenin. If the Kremlin realizes that Putin has gone off the rails, he will be removed. I think this will happen before the fall.
I noticed Putin has announced a pause with his complete destruction of the Luhansk province. He is already being pressured to stop. The cost in manpower and materials for him to destroy Eastern Ukraine (where most of the manufacturing took place) is scaring more moderate members of the Kremlin.
I hope the Ukraine can use the military aid to punish his invasion forces until they cry and go home.
