"Drinking three units of alcohol a day, which could equate to just two beers, was associated with brain shrinkage equivalent to three-and-a-half years of aging. Still, the experts want to remind us that the findings are correlation, not causation."
"Even a drink a day can be bad for your brain, says a study we desperately want to ignore"
*Anxiously sips beer*
I looked at it. This could be caused by some other factor. Alcoholic drinks are typically not organic. Roundup is used to control weeds in grain fields between seasons. It is used in wine fields between seasons too. Glyphosate is turning up in alcoholic drinks. We need a new study in which people are given the equivalent dose of glyphosate for a year. Then we will compare the brains of those in that study to people with no glyphosate exposure.
I look forward to that study.
In the meantime, I will limit my one beer a day to organic beer.

I like the taste of a good cold beer, but I just don't drink much alcohol. I average less than one beer a week. Once or twice a year I like to have some wine. We have a Christmas Eve tradition of eating lasagna with wine. I bought a bottle of bourbon a few years ago and have probably had the equivalent of a few shots mixed with cola. I bought it because it was one of the brands my dad and grandfather made during their careers as distillers. There were a few times in my youth where I probably over-indulged. I just don't like the feeling or the after effects.

I don't drink and couldn't if I wanted to. I take warfarin a blood thinner and alcoholic drinks increase the effects of the warfarin. I have Talked to Garak in the past, and he takes warfarin but drinks anyway. It's possible to use a small amount of alcohol and get by with it, but every day use is dangerous.

I was instructed on day one of starting on warfarin that the key is not to binge. Once your pro time/INR numbers stabilize you can continue on the diet you were on at that time. Variances either way of that diet will affect your numbers. I have been on the same dosage for over six years now. Rarely do I have a skewed number.

My dosage has changed 3 times. I take a blood test every month. My last reading was 2.6.

I think that your main problem is that your doctor does not have you on the same does daily. Taking 2.5 mg one day and 5 mg the next does not make sense to me. One day you are high and the next low.

They say it stores it's self and balances out.

I just think that taking the same dose each day would better keep you in better balance.

They're blood got so thin they ended up in the hospital. They had to have a transfusion because of it. They lost their sense of taste for over 1 1/2 years. If you can take the same dose every day, you are out of the ordinary and you're lucky.

At one time I took 7mg three times a week and 6mg four times. Some people struggle with getting an even balance. As to the guy who never got tested it’s his own fault.

They were new to blood thinners and the doctor never said anything about it.
Did you see where Wayne Perky died of covid? I always liked him.
I'm out of here for the day, later.
