Fox News was the most watched cable news channel in America for the sixth consecutive year in 2021. Fox averaged 1.3 million in total day viewers this year, compared to 919,000 at MSNBC and 787,000 watching CNN. Dec 15, 2021 I prefer to watch and listen to government officials live or at least a complete recording or video. Opinions vary with television media seem quite slanted to present their biases. I would rather judge for myself what is being said directly from those, (for example), government officials, those running for office and other influential individuals. I do not care for far left or far right news opinions as any truth seems to get lost in those opinions. Polls seem to be slanted by whom they ask the questions to for their sampling. I prefer for example: ballotpedia.org/Ballotpedia%27s_Polling_Index:_Comparison_of_opinion_polling_during_the_Trump_and_Biden_administrations#SourcesAGAIN THIS IS MY OPINION AND ONLY MINE. ;^)

It is also mine. I believe the only polls that really matter are those where we cast our ballots. I really don't watch FOX, CNN or MSNBC. 90% of what they air isn't news. It's editorializing and opinion. Like you, I prefer to see and hear candidates, preferably live, speak in their own words without the filters of the media.

I don't subscribe to cable TV. I used to have DirecTV, but I dropped it. I found that I could visit many sites on the internet that all have a few of the same stories but all have some stories that only they report. I sift through them and find different perspectives. I went with the fastest upload speed internet for my voip phone and for gaming. My gal likes it because she can teach piano to students with zoom or skype, she does some math and english tutoring for some of her students. She is happy with the movies from a variety of sites that offer streaming movies and old TV shows. I am not spending as much time gaming. American society is becoming more violent, the pretend violence of gaming is now distasteful to me, most of the time; I think it is a response to the horror of real violence.

I've never been into "reality" gaming, especially those where people shoot at each other. I have a Scrabble type game I like to play against the computer and a poker game where I actually compete against real people on the internet, but it doesn't involve real money. Those and an occasional Solitaire are all I play.
But back to the news, I have a streaming TV service that has all my local channels and the major "news" networks.
