Microsoft Edge is corrupted. On both of my computers I've had them lock up by clicking on something on the face page. Yesterday I clicked on new pictures from Mars. Microsoft locked my computer. This had happened before but I have managed to get out of it, not this time. I called the Microsoft number. The long story made short Microsoft wanted to sell me a plan that was good for 5 years that would prevent the problem. The plan cost $499.00. Of course I said no. I managed to get in it long enough to install windows off the C drive. After I got everything back in it I installed Firefox. I will never run Microsoft Edge again.

I've never used Edge. Firefox works well enough for me. Microsoft was hacked by the Russians. They even were able to view the source code for Windows (they probably have the source code). I'm sure Microsoft is attempting to do damage control but it is a Russian hacker's playground right now.
Homeland Security needs to launch cyber warfare against Russia.

Few people even know about that.

My updates to firefox are always done after I have disconnected from it. When I log in the next time to it, it proudly informs me that I am running the latest version. Now there are some pop-ups that claim they can update your firefox. They are scams, at best, and hackers and extortionists at worse. I never take that bait.

Don't either. I use Malwarebytes and FF popup/ad blockers
