I stopped watching TV when Trump got elected. I found him so repulsive and dishonest that the thought of seeing and hearing him on the news was intolerable. So I watch movies on Netflix, and HBO and CBS all access and Amazon, and Hulu. I watch some TV shows that way too. I get my news from the internet too. Lately I have begun watching CBS Evening news because Trump is Kaput, all done, gone.

Lately I have begun watching CBS Evening news because Trump is Kaput, all done, gone. Same here. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus and all the Roku device free channels. I watch a lot of antenna TV at the lake house. I also have a very nice neighbor lady at the lake who lets me connect to her wifi. The only thing I can't get there is on the big screen is Hulu because you can only use it away from home on a laptop, tablet or cellphone. Fortunately I have one of each. I really don't watch TV that much at the lake because we stay busy doing lake stuff. But, it's nice to have if the weather turns bad.

until they remove broadband caps, it's problematic. Can you explain? I've had no issues since switching to the fiber optic service in our area. I get it through a private company who contracts with AT&T to use their lines. I paid more than the AT&T promotional price, but the company I deal with says they will not raise my rates as long as I pay my bill on time. Since I set up autopay to my Visa card I don't have to worry about being late. So far, so good. When I was with Spectrum they were constantly raising my rate. AT&T does the same thing. I also had to deal with service outages on a regular basis with Spectrum.

ATT still has broadband caps in many areas, meaning if you over a certain amount of usage like 2tb, they can charge you for the amount you went over 2tb.

I don't know where you are but you might look into a private contractor in your area, like I use. Mine is called Iglou. They contract with AT&T to use their fiber optic cable. There are different levels of service and options to choose from depending on your needs. I had Spectrum for years and hated it. I remember the day I saw AT&T running the fiber optic cable on my street. I had already planned to switch to Iglou when it was installed. I have HULU and several other streaming services. With all that it's still cheaper than what Spectrum was charging me and I have way more viewing options. We have a TV in every room, several computers, a gaming system and I've been working mostly from home for the last year or more and have had no issues....knock on wood.

The problem here is we two choices and they are both equally bad. ATT is somewhat more reliable. They ran fiber to the street, but still run copper to the house.
I use Dish for main tv viewing. But my problem with that is that I have a very high quality sound system for movies and TV, and streaming doesn't even come close to the audio quality of DVD/Blu Ray, usually it's not even 5.1.
