I had two cameras when I was younger. One of my aunts gave me a box camera, and in my mid-30's I won one.
That latter one was special, and I can't even think of what kind it was at the moment (35 millimeter?). A woman at the office put it up for auction as a fund raiser. She said, as she handed it to me, they decided to give it away as it only took black and white pictures. In the book or something it said something about color slides. I went to a friend who had studied photography, and asked her how it could take colored slides and not color pictures. She said if it was ground for color, it probably would. Buy some film and try it. I did. It did.
I've take pictures more recently with my cell phone and my computer.

I had a polaroid. Most of the pictures have been lost or destroyed though. Now I have a Nikon that can download pictures to the computer. Its lens pops out when I turn it on and the lens cover automatically retracts and it automatically moves into place to protect the lens when I turn it off. It has lasted for a few years now and the lens has never needed cleaning. It is a far easier camera to use, with auto focus and excellent color reproduction.

Seems like Polaroid is what the 'generous" contributor mentioned above bought. I'm not much for taking pictures, but I did want to try the cell phone. I simply emailed a couple to myself and downloaded them to the computer from email.

I guess today the smart phone is most people's camera.
I use one too, but do have several real cameras that I use. I have 4 film cameras, a point and shoot, an old manual Minolta and lenses for it, a Canon AE-1 and a Canon A-1. I use the AE-1 for B/W and infrared shooting. The Minolta for color shots where I was different effects and night time space shots. The A-1 is my professional camera for those special shots.
I also have two digital cameras, a point and shoot and a Canon EOS.
Have wide angle up to 300mm lenses. A 600mm for the Minolta.
Not bragging, I just like to take pictures of just about anything. Thankfully you can still buy film and good ol' Walmart will develop it for you. B/W and infrared film though is not available locally but I can go to the last real camera store down in Houston for that, I have got some B/W from eBay.

We have a Sony that does the job for us. Far too many pictures on the Apple. We print out those we wish to display. I have my grandparents old Brownie Box.
