Will be 80 in a week.
Question:
Should I try to keep my blogs going?
(After what happened with the posting today, one conclusion in mind is that the business is getting too complicated for me.)

I think it is good to keep active with a hobby. For me it is performing music with friends. In theory it is something I could do by myself, but the interaction is where the joy is. Facebook takes some time and it is interactive, that might be enough interaction if the blogs are discouraging. In fact Facebook takes so much time, that I no longer view the news feed, I just click on friends' links that show they have new posts.
Yes, people need to be remembered. In more traditional settings, ancestors and relatives who have passed, are honored on their birthdays, and on the anniversary of their death. It is part of filial piety. A repayment of a debt of gratitude.

There is a callousness in our society toward the elderly. Many times, there is no one that misses them. In more traditional societies the elderly have roles that they are allowed in their families. By that, I mean a contribution to make, a part to play. I think your blogs have a role if only in a few other lives.

Well, I appreciate the insight given. It helps to have an outside opinion when you can't think too clearly.
