I order a lot over the internet. I have a delivery coming from California. I looked and it's being delivered by UPS. I cringe every time I get something by UPS. There's no telling what it will look like by the time it reaches me. FEDEX is probably the best however USPS Priority is about as good and they deliver on Sunday, UPS would be my last choice.

I use to have problems with UPS delivering to a neighbor, after a ton of complaints they are finally bring them to my door. My problem now is with USPS, we have a new driver and even though I saw him and talked to him, he still is either not dropping a package at my door. He has delivered to my neighbor the last few packages I have gotten.

My wife's brother was a mailman. We told him about having to take mail to our neighbors and he joked that the mail delivery people do that so the neighbors get to know each other.

Sometimes I get service calls to work on equipment at a main UPS center. If you saw how packages get loaded into the containers for air travel, off of incoming trucks, through a major conveyor system, scanned and bumped onto another conveyor and finally a person loads it onto the air transport container and/or truck, it is a wonder that any package gets to its location intact. I once sent a very expensive Simpson Volt/OHM/Amp meter to Florida for repairs. Two week turn around. Several months went by, we called the repair station and they gave us the tracking number, it arrived back in our local UPS center. We called them to locate this meter. After several days we received the meter in a smashed carton, destroyed. Fortunately we immediately called them back and they gave me a purchase order to purchase another meter. The meter I had was an old one, old style, old case. The meter I now own, is the latest style, with the latest leather case and cost considerably more than my old one. May we all get something better from UPS.

Lately, everything I get through UPS is packaged very carefully in lots of padding. The boxes always look pristine - undamaged. It may be the area you live in.

I ordered something on 12/28 they sent it out the next day by UPS. It's still not here and there is no tracking info on it. I'm going to cut back my ordering online down to a minimum.

Call the people you ordered from and if they can't or won't give you a tracking number then ask for a replacement. You also can cal UPS, give them the company/person and their address, your name and address and approximate time it was shipped and they can find it if it was shipped. Again if UPS does not have any paperwork of something being shipped to you ask for a replacement.
