What is it with some people that they don't know what that stick on the left side of the steering wheel is for???
Here it is against the law not to signal a turn or lane change but it is rare that anyone gets a ticket. Way too many people and that also includes cops that just don't use their signals for anything.

I use signals automatically, sometimes this generates a signal even when they are not required, like when the road makes a left turn and the left turn is the only possible direction to go. Training for and driving as a commercial truck driver reinforced those habits.

I've done that too. There's a road here, Blanton lane that has a bend in it that is so sharp that I have put on my turn signals going around it.

Training for and driving as a commercial truck driver reinforced those habits. It is an automatic reaction for me too. I drove a lot when I was in the service and if you didn't use them and a military cop sees that, you get a ticket. Back when I got my drivers license, and it was way back, if you did not use the turn signals or arm/hand signals you got marks off. Not sure why all these other people never learned to use them.
