Good article, makes me wonder why all beaches are not free public beaches. Down here home owners can buy property close to the beach but all the beaches are free public property. California has some free beaches but most are either privately owned or pay beaches. When and it is inevitable that beaches erode the state of Texas will condemn private property if the beach encroaches on an owners property. People have fought it but so far none have won. While beachfront property is still expensive it is nowhere near the cost of some of those on the east coast.
