I just heard from Matador and he's been in the hospital. He said he's doing fine now.

Thanks, actually it was my doctor. I had an appointment and when they did the vitals my BP was 229/105 and they wheeled me down to the ER. I go down to the VA medical center and if something is off on your vitals they put you in the hospital.
I mean hey, the med center is 75 miles from where I live, and to travel through all that traffic, everybody is going to have a high Blood Pressure!!!! After 5 days they managed to get my BP down to 180/87 and they still wanted to keep me, but I told them that being there is not going to lower my BP any lower, I'd be better off at home with my cats!! They finally agreed to let me go home after 2 weeks when it would not go any lower than 180 over anything. Thankfully my neighbor fed the cats while I was gone and they were very happy when I finally got home.

I take toprol-xl but it wasn't enough to get my bp down where it should be. They prescribed everything and nothing would bring it down, finally a nurse practitioner prescribed me AmLODiPine Besylate, it worked. If you have not been on it I urge you to have them try it.

My wife is using CBD powder in a capsule to eliminate pain. The medical marijuana clinic has them. Her's is called Nitro Honey. It lowers her blood pressure. It was an unexpected benefit. She started by taking one pill a day but it was lowering her blood pressure to much. She stopped taking her blood pressure medication and reduced the CBD powder to a half a pill a day and it was still too much, so she reduced it to a third of a pill a day. That seems to be working well for her now. The doctor at the medical marijuana clinic says the CBD powder is completely legal even for States that don't permit medical marijuana. He says it can even be sent through the U.S. mail.

That is one of the many meds I take.
