Yes, God does have a wife, Asherah, whom the Book of Kings suggests was worshiped alongside Yahweh in his temple in Israel, Asherah was the goddess of fertility. In 1967 Raphael Patai was the first historian to mention that the ancient Israelites worshiped both Yahweh and Asherah.

I believe that once the Coptic Bible is fully translated that it will show many Gods.

Up until the time of Isaiah the Jewish religion practiced polytheism. At that time the scribes began to edit our any reference to more than one god.
