They say yes, On average about one year longer. They also die from the same causes everyone else does. One year don't sound like a lot, I guess their self controls no better then ours.

I would think that given the stress and long hours, most Drs have to deal with ,would shorten their lives dramatically. Especially if they work under hospital conditions.

I have read that doctors die as badly as the rest of us, but that most of them reject extreme measures to prolong their lives. When they are given a diagnosis that is to be fatal, they close up shop and get into hospice care.

The old drunk says if drinking is so bad how come there are so many more old drunks then there are old doctors?
