I just had my 2nd glaucoma surgery on the 31st of July. It was an emergency sort of situation. I went for a regular pressure check, it was 41 in my left eye and I was in surgery less than 24 hours later.
I had my 1 st glaucoma surgery on my right eye ( the latest was on my left eye ) in 2008. It was almost one year before my vision returned to normal in that eye.
This time I didn't have the luxury of time to think about it.
So, back to square one. I am seeing well in the right eye, but wonder if the recovery time will be as long this time around
During my visit for post surgery I was told that my right eye, the one that I had surgery on in 2008, is possibly forming scar tissue and another surgery on that eye may possibly be in my near future Yippee... at least I have a good Opthalmologist and what will be will be.
I'm having no real pain, didn't with the other eye either, just a dull constant throb...my personal drummer in my eye/head, good beat, but hard to dance to
Typing with one eye ( I don't actually type with my eye, but you know what I mean ) is a challenge since I was never the world's greatest typist to begin with. If I had to rely on my typing skills, I would have been up that creek without a paddle.
My sweet husband bought me a Dragon dictation thingy, but honestly, it's not worth the trouble.. but I would never tell him that. I think he will get more use from it than I.
I never thought my Southern accent was that pronounced, but obviously the Dragon disagrees. I was playing around with it last night and some of the words it interpreted were a hoot. I can only imagine how it would interpret words used by 'Valley Girls' That term may be out dated, but you get the drift.. 'For real = furrel ' Hehe.
I thank God that I live where I do and great Drs are in abundance here.. some people in rural areas aren't so lucky.
So please forgive my typos, I'm giving it my best shot.
