It's not AGW that is causing the increase in the glacier movement. It's geothermal activity UNDER the glacier. www.pnas.org/content/early/2014/06/04/1405184111.abstract?sid=93babf77-68f6-411a-9210-22e501823b43
"Researchers find major West Antarctic glacier melting from geothermal sources
AUSTIN, Texas — Thwaites Glacier, the large, rapidly changing outlet of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet, is not only being eroded by the ocean, it’s being melted from below by geothermal heat, researchers at the Institute for Geophysics at The University of Texas at Austin (UTIG) report in the current edition of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
The findings significantly change the understanding of conditions beneath the West Antarctic Ice Sheet where accurate information has previously been unobtainable.
The Thwaites Glacier has been the focus of considerable attention in recent weeks as other groups of researchers found the glacier is on the way to collapse, but more data and computer modeling are needed to determine when the collapse will begin in earnest and at what rate the sea level will increase as it proceeds. The new observations by UTIG will greatly inform these ice sheet modeling efforts. . ."

So? That has nothing to do with why the glaciers are shrinking.

You don't think geothermal activity under the ice shelf has any effect on this glacier? Have you seen the new IPCC report? It has backed WAY OFF from their claim that glaciers in Europe would be gone in 21 years. They now say the glaciers are stable. No change in world wide temperature anomalies in almost 18 years.

The Antarctic is a continent and also an active plate, part of the pacific rim and is a subduction area. Some 200,000 years ago the Antarctic was sitting close to the equator and moved down and it is still moving, slowly. Nobody has said the glaciers are stable and as a matter of fact in this paper they say they are unstable, plus the fact that there is no scientific data that says there has not been any temperature change.

Except the AGW hystericals are trying to blame the glacier melting on AGW when it's volvanic activity that is causing the increased movement. Thy cant tell the truth as the truth disrupts their mantra.

The Volcanic activity is normal, and isn't the cause of the increased melting. That is nothing more than distraction from the deniers that are ignoring the truth in their desire for the benefits of the now. It is probably why we aren't worthy of mastering the earth when we shirk our duty to take care of the earth we live on today.

It's increased and is the cause of the melt. Since the continent has just recorded a new high in ice accumulation, it can't be AGW warming causing the ice shelf to slip.
