"The Supreme Court extended the Second Amendment right to carry a handgun outside the home for the first time Thursday, in a 6-3 decision that struck down New York's restrictions on concealed carry licenses." Now the person with the quickest draw will prevail as George Zimmerman prevailed over Trayvon Martin. (who was standing their ground?) The survivor is deemed to be the one who was standing his ground.
There is still time for a deluge of quick draw murders to influence voters. When increasing gun violence increases public fear, that may sway the election.

It all depends on timing. As I said in another thread, most Americans seem to choose an issue du jour on the morning of election day, if they decide to vote all. Big picture thinking doesn't seem to be important to most voters. It's the "ME" mentality and damn everyone else.

When gun murders become so common that every family, every block in every town, has a gun murder, that will become the most pervasive thought in everyone's mind. Everyone has to leave their home and take their chances in public, with the exception of Supreme Court Justices.
