It's an old story but it has a followup.
"The founder of America's second biggest Christian television network has come clean about an affair after claiming he was threatened with extortion for millions of dollars.
Evangelist Marcus Lamb, 53, who earns a fortune from his Dallas-based network Daystar, made an astonishing TV confession after three people demanded $7.5m to keep the story out of the papers.
His statement followed a lawsuit filed by a former employee which alleged that Lamb's affair contradicted the Christian TV network's values.
Appearing on TV alongside her husband, Lamb's wife Joni Lamb,50, revealed the heartbreak over the preacher's infidelity but started by telling her husband: 'You and I are strong and I think that our marriage is better today than it has ever been.’ She explained how she found out about the long term affair, but claimed the Holy Spirit told her to forgive her husband. She said: ‘I was devastated and sad and thought that my whole world was crashing in around me.’ ‘I went home and felt so alone and I always wondered if in the time of trouble that God will meet you and I can tell you that he met me that day.’
Speaking on Daystar’s show Celebration, Joni narrated how the couple dealt with the ‘improper relationship’ backed up by her husband who interjected ‘praise the lord’ on several occasions.
The preacher would not give details of the affair but said it happened a few years ago.
He also said he took full responsibility for his sins, said he didn’t blame the devil and added he knew that God had forgiven him for his mistakes.
Lamb launched a Christian television station in Dallas in 1993 and Daystar now operates 70 stations across the United States, according to its website.
Dallas attorney James Fisher represents ex-employee Jeanette Hawkins and two other former Daystar employees and said he met with Daystar lawyers on November 18 to seek a settlement.
Hawkins' lawsuit states that she eventually got copies of Lamb's e-mails that confirmed the affair, included ‘many lewd statements,’ and showed that Daystar funds helped pay for ‘trysts in other locations.’ "

It looks like the Devil wasn't done with him yet.

He was probably able to buy his wife's forgiveness for half of that 7.5 million. The fools who send money to these charlatan "preachers" are the real victims. I believe there's a special place in Hell reserved for people like him, but that's in God's hands now.

When these preachers retire, they always pass it on to a family member.
