It has been a rough spring for me with the heavy tree and grass pollen count. I had been holding my own using Zyrtec and Flonase until yesterday morning. I woke up to a heavy cough in my chest and overall feeling quite poorly. Last night I had to use my wife’s rescue inhaler as my bronchial tubes were in spasm. That got me through until this morning. I called my doctor and couldn’t get in until Friday. So I went to urgent care. Diagnosed with seasonal allergies and getting very close to acute bronchitis. Got put on steroids and an inhaler. Already feeling better.
I used to get bronchitis 2-3 times a year when I was still working. I laid the blame on the 20 year old mold ridden carpet in the building. Since retiring 3.5 years ago I have only had bronchitis one time.
Is anyone else experiencing allergic symptoms that are worse this year than in the past?

I feel like I've been sneezing more when I'm outside, especially when I cut the grass, but I haven't had any problems like you described. I started wearing a dust mask when I cut the grass and it seems to help with the sneezing. I leave it hanging on the lawnmower handle so I don't forget.

I have been wearing a mask when I mow this year as well. At Eagle Creek, when I roll up to 17 and18 tee box I can feel my throat tightening up. It seems that this year is affecting people worse than in the past.

That’s not likely to happen. I’m in my eighth year as a member there, I like the management and the people that play there. Nevel Meade is quite pricey in comparison to Eagle Creek. There are lots of ornamental grasses on the course as well as trees surrounding it. As we all know the wind carries the pollen great distances so I don’t think that it would be much of an improvement. I am feeling much better today. It’s just something I have to deal with from time to time.

I like playing a lot of different courses. The group I play with goes somewhere different every week. We usually play most of the courses only two times in a season. We usually try to hit Eagle Creek at least once.

I like playing different courses as well and we do at times. I like the camaraderie you can get being a member at a course. If my regular group can’t play I can send a text out and there’s always a group that needs a fourth. Playing as many rounds a year as I do there are economic reasons for being a member. To each their own.

I wouldn't want to join any club that would allow me as a member. LOL

I would not care if you knew where I am but there are several, namely one, that I don’t want to divulge that information to.
