I know that you are from Texas so don’t take this the wrong way. It does not surprise me at all, with the insane politicians in power there. From the governor to the lt. governor who contradicts the governor at every turn. Then there is the attorney general who supports the insane rants of Trump. Don’t get me started on Cruz. Need I say more?

Extremism, no matter the venue, is one of the most dangerous conditions known to man, in this country and around the world. It doesn't matter if it politics or religion. When you combine the two it has serious potential to cause dire consequences. This period of time where extreme liberals and extreme conservatives refuse to bend will only leave those of us more moderate and reasonable middle folks in the same ruins they are creating for themselves.

Need I say more? Trust me, after that fiasco with the ice storm, Abbot, Paxton, the entire GOP leadership needs cactus enemas. The situation is still not fixed.

It's much worse. Look up the Good News Club. Luckily it looks like Covid might have taken care of some of it.

That's a perfect example of the the extremism I was talking about. It's bad enough when it's religious extremism alone, but when extremists of any kind try to take over the government it's a special kind of dangerous. The January 6th insurrection is an example of different kinds of extremists coming together and you saw the result. And before the ultra-righties go ape-poop, yes the Antifa movement believers are also an example of extremism out of control.
