It's not really that big but I organize things pretty well. It's only 26x28 but I have a lot of kitchen style cabinets, shelves, storage lockers, hooks and pegboards. You can barely see the concrete block walls. I too want a welder and putting in 220 is on my list of things to do when I have time. And I'm still able to fit my truck and my wife's car inside. I have a truck and my wife has a car also, they will not fit in the garage anymore. I have a John Deere lawn tractor that needs to be in our storage shed as well as a Lawn mower and trimmers and the like. Years ago I put a plastic pipe from the house to the garage....underground for several things, Cable TV is one. I can tap into 220v in the house and run it through the pipe into the garage. It shouldn't be but a 2 or 3 hour job. That's the plan.

I built it deep enough to turn a pop-up camper sideways against the back wall in the off season too. Since we have a place at the lake and no pop-up now that space has gone to storage cabinets. I have one heavy duty one with a lock for all my power hand tools. But when it gets to the point where the vehicles won't fit, other things will have to go.

I think most people are like that. When we did have enough room to park the vehicles in the garage there wasn't enough room for anything else. Another thing that hurts us is we have a single driveway.

We have a pretty big driveway, about 2 1/2 cars wide and maybe 175 ft long. It's nice to have except when it snows or needs pressure washing, which will be soon unfortunately.

You must have a double lot. My yard is 80 by 150. I could have shoveled the driveway a few weeks ago but I let mother nature do it for me. I knew it was going to warm-up so I let it go.

A vice is often combined with an anvil. The one I have has been useful for hammering on metal parts as well as gripping things I need to loosen or work on. i have an old 4 pound hammer that is useful for hammering. A son of my deceased wife broke the wooden handle and the local hardware store no longer has handles that will fit it. It still works for moderate hammering with the piece of handle that remains.
