Ok, I have been working on a change in groups. I have wanted to open up the board a bit so I created groups.
For those who don't want to participate in politics have a group of their own. Those who want to participate will be in their own group, and opening up a group for non-registered users. They will be very limited to one or two areas that only they can visit and post in.
Members can belong to more than one group but non-members can not view, post, or create a thread in all the member areas.
I have noticed that those people who dislike me and the board continue to stop by and look to see what is going on. Maybe they will actually participate and not just complain about me and the board. If they can show some civility then I'll open up some forums for them to view and maybe some will actually register. That is up to them.
Most of the changes should not be noticeable although some boards that you can see now might seem to disappear due to group status.
The groups are:
NMem for non-members
Pols for political forums - For this group only political forums and individual rooms. Excludes non-member areas.
RMem for regular members - Access to the whole board including individual rooms. Excludes non-member areas.
NPol for non-political - For non-political forums and individual rooms. Excludes non-member areas.
Please tell me which group you want to belong to.
ps. While the Matador account hasn't be deleted I will use it for testing and testing only.
pps. You ask how are you going to put a non-member into a group? When anyone comes here they have to put in a name and of course their IP is lited ad the program can assign the name or the IP to a group.
