I'm losing my hearing. It's a family thing, everyone has hearing problems. For a long time it looked like I would escape the dread hearing problems but it's finally caught up with me. I wear hearing aids in both ears and still have trouble hearing.

Well, talking takes breath and I can't breathe very well, so I try to get people to do written communications (like email or notes). Many don't like to, but sometimes if you insist you can get them to cooperate.

Mine was just the opposite, spending a lot of my time out on the flight line, I have lost a lot of the highs. The VA gave me new aides but I rarely wear them because there are only certain situations that I need them

I like them plus they are bluetooth and I can connect to my cell phone, laptop, and anything that can access bluetooth. The brand is Phonak model Virto Q Q90. I got it through the VA but it might be available to anyone.

I looked up the price of the Virto Q Q90 and they are costly....$2200+ each. My insurance will only pay $3000 for both ears. I may have to go with the behind the ear type again, I was hoping I could get the in the ear type.

I don't know how much they cost, I get them through the Veterans Administration, part of my medical services for my service to Unka Sam...

I have two new Beltone hearing aids. Behind the ear type, very small. For the first time in years I can hear almost normal.
