Jesus was reportedly "Jewish." Go to any synagogue and count how many "brown" people there are, if you can find any. Indo-Europeans are commonly thought to be the "white" race. However, they are NOT the only people who are/were white. Look up Basque. As for inter-racial marriage, I don't see anything morally wrong as humans are of the same species. Is there any reason you can't mate a white cat and a black cat? No. They're both cats. That doesn't mean it's socially acceptable and in some societies inter-racial marriage makes life difficult. Just for information, today is several thousand years from the time of Jesus, in that time many Hebrews migrated north where over time, many generations, and a smaller interaction with the sun caused them to evolve into a whiter shade of skin color. Jesus was Hebrew and followed Hebrew traditions, he was born in the middle east and as such he would have borne the features of a middle eastern person. He was dark and nobody can put any spin that he was white. Just for information, we all came from Africa and therefore our far off ancestors were dark, probably very dark. As Africans moved north their skin color did change. Russian Jews were lighter than those who were in Germany and those from Germany were lighter than those from the middle east. Now, as in any culture or race, there are mutations such as albinos, but those are somewhat rare and even if two albinos mate they are actually likely to have normal offspring than an albino offspring. Thank you, I have heard of the Rift Valley and the theory. First of all, it's a theory. Secondly, no one really knows how long it took humans to change color if it is correct.

There is a plethora of evidence that Homo Sapiens originated in Africa. The only evidence that Adam and Eve were the only source of humanity is in Religious myths recorded in a few ancient texts. You can call the evidence that Homo Sapiens originated in Africa a theory. You might add that it is by far the best theory. Now there is evidence that many other hominids originated in Africa. There is also evidence that hominids originated in other areas. Perhaps you have heard of the Neanderthal. Those were a group of hominids that the Bible has no record of existing. There is also evidence of another hominid that populated Siberia and surrounding areas that is known as the Denisovan. Homo Sapiens interbred with these. It is widely theorized now that other hominids were present in Asia and the Middle East and that Homo Sapiens interbred with them, producing progeny that became the different races. Our genes are primarily Homo Sapien with Europeans having up to 5% Neanderthal genes. When we investigate genetics we are limited to using science. Scientific theories are developed to explain the evidence. The evidence is not a theory, it is a fact. The evidence is reality. Sometimes encounters with reality cause us to discard our beliefs, when our beliefs are shown to be in conflict with reality. For instance, some people in the past believed that the Sun goes around the Earth. Encounters with reality (for instance a trip into space) have shown us that the Earth goes around the Sun. At one time people believed that the Earth was flat. Now we know that it is a lumpy spheroid. Reality has caused the vast majority of people to discard the belief that the Earth is flat.

Thanks, Lowell. I've run across stuff about some things in Siberia (Mongolia, desert), but I didn't know what it was called.

More than a theory, the oldest bones known to man are from Africa. Also the world as we know it today was different 2000 or 5000 years ago. Earth basically is a living planet, it changes daily. The Atlantic is getting bigger and the North American plate is moving northwest from the Eurasian plate an inch a year. The Sahara was fertile as was the fertile crescent. Both would have been farther south than they are now. Neanderthal remains are mostly in France, but as far north as England and south in Spain & Italy. It is possible that they had traveled south to Egypt. Think about how many generations it took for those who traveled eastward to evolve into the Mongol appearance. Eskimos and native Americans, along with those in South America are related to those in eastern Asia.
