I have a blood test scheduled for this morning, I hope it goes better than the last one. It wasn't terrible, it just wasn't were they wanted it.
Half of those people couldn't past their own tests.

Half of those people couldn't past their own tests.Maybe not quite half. I would say maybe 2% are both truly competent and seriously interested in their jobs.

My INR level is too low. If the INR level is too low it's easy to form a blood clot. It can result in a stroke, heart attack, blood clot in the lungs. I barely failed the test by .1 ....a miss is a miss I guess.

Maybe next time...
I had a blood draw last week, saw my doctors and while everything was better there was some issues.
One doc, my cardiologist,, had reduced my PB meds but when I med with my primary doc she said that my BP was high and so upped my meds back. My Endocrine doc though said my A1c was ok and so she is reducing my insulin, mostly because I was gaining weight.
But gotta do what you gotta do.

Your having a lot of the problems I'm having. They got my BP right but it caused my heart to beat too slow so they took half the BP meds away. If I don't drop dead in the mean time there going to put a pace maker in me.

I have Atrial Fibrillation...afib for short. The top two chambers of the heart beat erradically and don't supply enough blood for the lower and bigger chambers. If the upper chambers fail to beat or skip for an extended period of time it can form a blood clot. When that chamber does decide to fire it shoots out a clot that goes to the brain....bad news.

I do take coumadin, it's the best. Unlike the rest of the blood thinners it has an anitdote....vitamin K. Taken by I.V. the blood is normal is 30 min. The others takes 5 days to wear off. If you need emergency surgery then you're in trouble.

I might add it is the number 1 cause of sudden death. Am I worried? Nah I have all my ducks in a row.

Your having a lot of the problems I'm having. They got my BP right but it caused my heart to beat too slow so they took half the BP meds away. If I don't drop dead in the mean time there going to put a pace maker in me. Yeah, and the BP + BPM is a thin line to walk. Some BP meds lower your heart rate, and some don't... I was on one that drove my docs crazy and you don't know how many times going to the various doctors wanted to put me in the hospital when it was really low. There were times that my heart rate was down to 25. Only took a few of those that he took me off one med I was taking that really lowered heart rate. Funny thing is that I did not feel any different when it was low. I have an irregular heart beat, I'll have the normal beat and then there is this one half beat about every two regular beats. I've had two major MIs, one on Thanksgiving day and then 30 days later another on Christmas day!! Talk about bad days. The 2nd one though was the one that blocked the main vein that supplies blood to the heart. Oh, by the way, I go to the VA med center down here, and on the VA.gov web site you can log in to check appointments, message your doctors, and actually check your lab results. I was checking my latest results and just for grins I went to the last one on the list, 1994, and noticed that most were about the same as the latest one. My white count is always been high, but back in 94 it was really high. The highest was back in 2000 when my white count was twice the high end of the range they give as normal. Had the doctors going crazy on that one. Anyway take care of yourself.

Thanks, They have me on Toprol-xl and AmLODIPine. I've had my heart rate in the 30s. Installing a pace maker is no problem anymore as soon as they want to do that I'm ready. There's not much more to it then a heart cath and I've had that done. I've been in the hospital 3 times for this stuff.
I can relate to about everything you've said here....been there done that. And it's no fun
I have an irregular heart beat plus afib. Unless someone has been through what you and I have they don't realize the gravity of the situation.

I went for another blood test today, my INR was 2.9....in the normal ranger. So I don't need to go back for a month.
