I enjoy watching the young turks, they are informative. I thought that Scientology was a cult, but then again there are many religious type cults out there.

IMO The Young Turks go off half cocked reporting on speculation, half truths and self promotion. They had Tony Stewart tried, convicted and sentenced before the Grand Jury assembled.

IMO The Young Turks go off half cocked reporting on speculation, half truths and self promotion. They had Tony Stewart tried, convicted and sentenced before the Grand Jury assembled. A lot of people had it in for Tony, just as a lot had OJ guilty, but either way both were proven innocent. Now as far as that first sentence goes, there seems to be a lot of talking heads that go off half cocked, half truths, sometimes lies, and a lot of self promotion and yet a lot of people listen to them and rely on them, I'm not going to mention any names. But the reality is that the young turks do some good research into their reporting more so than a lot of others. I have disagreed with some of their reports but the fact they did use factual information I have to say I can disagree but know they might be right.

I can see different agencies having a differing opinion when it comes to conjecture, but based on solid facts I have never seen Fox ( I'm sure that is to whom you are referring ) out right replace facts with speculation. But then Fox is a Conservative news agency and CNN and The Young Turks are liberal as the day is long. Hence their differing slant. At least Fox has guests who represent the opposition, which is more than I can say about The Young Turks.

But then Fox is a Conservative news agency and CNN and The Young Turks are liberal as the day is long. Hence their differing slant. At least Fox has guests who represent the opposition, which is more than I can say about The Young Turks. I can disagree with you on Fox, especially since they have kept a ?reporter? who has continuously lied about this war experiences, while NBC put Williams on a somewhat permanent hold, or CBS for shelving Rather. But I was not really talking about Fox, I was talking about Hannity (ok, fox for him), Limbaugh, Beck, and a whole list of hate mongers, whose research is to make up stories. I did watch Fox for a bit, when they had Hannity and, I forgot his name, a ?liberal?. The problem with that show was that Hannity had the floor and when the ?liberal? said anything Hannity would jump all over him and that was ok, but when Hannity was caught in a non-truth the ?liberal? was shamed and it was not long after that he was removed and now it is just Hannity. So I guess I could easily put Fox in that same list as those who don't do research and make up stories. It was then that Fox showed they were not for news or facts and they have been caught many times in lies, promoting rumors, and not doing research. Now Try CNN and you will find that they do show both sides of issues and where they have two commentators, one is conservative and one is liberal, and they both have done a good job at reporting. But I seriously think that those on the far right have little to do with good reporting or viewing both sides of issues.
