lowell: I have found a beer that is as good or better than the best I have tasted. It is the Classic Light Lager from Aslan. (organic beer) It tastes as good as Heineken did on tap in Amsterdam in 1970. It is in a silver can. Amazing! Jan 19, 2024 3:29:38 GMT -6 *
lowell: Among other great beers they make, is one they call Dunkel. It would be well received at Octoberfest. Jan 20, 2024 1:29:11 GMT -6

James T. Kirk: I somehow got logged out and could not for the life me remember my username and password. Then like a bolt of lightning it hit me. Anyway, I've been really busy with some projects so I haven/t been online much. I hope everyone is doing okay. Mar 31, 2024 17:13:11 GMT -6
lowell: I too have had some projects to work on. I got started on removing a Japanese Quince from the once corner of the house. It, with the help of some brushy plants had managed to entangle the power line. Apr 2, 2024 0:42:23 GMT -6
lowell: When I cut some of the Quince shoots I would pull them down, some were too wrapped up to pull down. When I finally got one to pull down another came down suddenly and hit me in the back. They have a spike type of thorn and it impaled into my back. Apr 2, 2024 0:47:46 GMT -6
James T. Kirk: Ouch!! We're planning our 50th Anniversay and I have been working on organizing our photos. I've scanned over 7000 to digital, disposed of all duplicates and stored all the oroginals in 12 large albums. I'm pretty much done. Apr 5, 2024 9:30:06 GMT -6
James T. Kirk: Lowell, did you change something in the forum settings? I have to log in everytime I return. I never had to do that in the past unless I clicked "Logout", which I never did. Now when I leave the page it's like I'm automatically logged out. Apr 5, 2024 9:33:20 GMT -6
James T. Kirk: We're heading a couple of hours west Monday, whether permitting, to view the solar eclipse. I went in 2017. The trip back will take considerably longer. The last time it was 2 hours there and 7 hours back. But it'll be 20 years til the next one, so.... Apr 5, 2024 9:39:35 GMT -6
lowell: I haven't change anything since I first began as administrator. It could be a global change for all the boards. I saw a total eclipse in Canada years ago. I used the special glasses but after several seconds my eyes began hurting. Apr 6, 2024 0:20:21 GMT -6
James T. Kirk: They say there are a lot of fake glasses out there. I bought mine on Amazon. They are made by Celestron, the telescope people. In 2017 my wife was a daycare director. She bought 30+ pairs of what turned out to be fakes. Luckily we found out before she... Apr 7, 2024 4:20:17 GMT -6 *
James T. Kirk: ... let her kids use them. You can't be too careful. Apr 7, 2024 4:20:37 GMT -6 *
James T. Kirk: My eclipse trip was good. Clouds drifted through off and on but we saw the entire 2.5 minutes of totality. It seemed darker than it was during the 2017 version and the tempeature dropped at least 10 dergee I'd guess. The drive itself was way better. Apr 9, 2024 14:13:04 GMT -6
